Verlasen was at peace. The races were no longer at war and monsters of legends laid in slumber. Yet peace was fickle. It was longlasting for the world as a whole, but ephemeral for the individuals within said world. Our story looks into those whose misfortune has piled together to send a ripple through the Verlasen. A dog catching a break. A spirit ever fleeting. A street rat within a church. A flower in glass. A lizard lost. And a bug flying towards the flame.
