Choosing paths

Being a devout Catholic young woman, my primary focus during college was simply to excel academically and achieve my goals. I dreamed of good grades, finding love early on, starting a family, and relying on God's guidance. Life's unpredictable nature was something I had yet to fully comprehend. Many believed that our paths often diverge from our initial plans, but I never imagined how profoundly this would resonate with me. My faith was my cornerstone, so discovering that my heart might be drawn to someone of the same gender felt like the lowest point possible. Yet, life, ever the teacher, had a different lesson to impart. It showed me that even in the darkest moments, there can still be unexpected twists and turns.
