In a cyberpunk world, Hugo, a former love and ally of Alita , is thought to be dead. However, Nova, the ruthless leader of the cyborg movement, discovers Hugo's damaged body and rebuilds him into a powerful cyborg assassin. Nova wipes Hugo's memories, erasing his past and his connection to Alita, and programs him to kill Alita.
As Hugo navigates his new existence, he struggles with fragmented memories and conflicting loyalties. His programming drives him to carry out Nova's orders, but glimpses of his past threaten to resurface. Meanwhile, Alita must confront the possibility that her lover is now a weapon aimed at her.
