There was a time when dragons were more than legends, a time when they walked the earth and ruled over the other races with ease. As history tells it, the greedy dragons could no longer reproduce with each other, and they grew weak as time passed. Biding their time, the rest of the world watched as they killed themselves off, until only a handful remained.
The Great Dragon Purge is what it was called, the twenty year hunt and extermination of the remaining Draconians, costing nearly 60% of the worlds population, all but one of the beasts was killed.
In a final battle, the strongest dragon became cornered by the masses and sealed himself deep underground in order to recover from his wounds...
It has been over two thousand years since then, there are many rumors that say he is long dead, that even dragons pass after time..
