Lucian is a delinquent, through and through. Being lonely his entire life has reduced him to an emotionless and passive person. He finds the world around him lacking, but puts on a facade everyday, hiding his true emotions.
He is one of thousands of beta testers in Aurora, the first VRMMORPG experience created. Being a level 201 Revenant, a unique assassin class of which he is the only one to have obtained, he looks down at the players from the shadows, observing, waiting.
As beta phase ends, everybody's stats, inventory and memories are reset to ensure that players get a fresh and new experience. However, due to a breakdown in the system, the memories erased are only of players level 1-200 as nobody is thought to have reached that far of a level. Nobody but him.
Then the unthinkable happens. They can't log out.
