not sure why this story isnt more popular. one of the better FL stories. strong, smart, funny, cute, and not constantly in need of saving. world(s) are interesting and, while the cultivation/portal setting in not original, there is enough uniqueness to make the story stand out. characters work well together and are fun to read about. there isnt much character growth. mostly becoming comfortable in their own body. but the leads are strong competent adults so not sure they really need to grow. it mostly just fun to see how they will react to changes.no crazy plot armor or last minute saves by the heavens. just competent people accomplishing their missions. which is actually nice compared to every minor outing turning into a world altering cataclysm with diving treasures popping up left and right.plus if nothing else, the mc is a bloodthirsty, cute, wolf girl, who dresses like a pirate. with walking nuke of a mage as partner. that alone should be enough reason to read this.
