It was Sam's first time taking the plane because even thought he had a happy youth with loving parents and a good big brother they still lived in near poverty, most of his clothes were things his big brother didn't wear anymore, their car was an old occasion they had since he was born, they lived in a small apartment where he had to share his room with his brother until he went to live in his high school's dorm.
