Aedan, left his village and family for the outside world when he was thirteen, was the sole survivor of an ritual that took over a thousand lives and made him a cripple.
With nowhere else to go, he returns to the old village he was raised in. Being despised by those he once called family, he discovers the power hidden within one's heart as well his true path which lies beyond the stars among twelve others.
