A poor village where Su Mi has been sent down as an educated youth. The village has no barefoot doctor or clinic. Villagers endure minor ailments and send those with money to hospitals for serious illnesses. Patrolling militiamen are present. The village is said to be rich in mountain resources including medicinal herbs.
