A shabby guesthouse in Haishi City where the story begins. The room contains a small 1.5-meter wooden bed, a rattan-wrapped thermos, a white porcelain cup printed with a worker's portrait, and a calendar showing July 1975. It has a second-floor window that Su Nuannuan jumps out of to escape.
